Hello and welcome to Middle School! My name Brent Van Schepen and I am beginning my 8th year teaching Bible and Social Studies at Southwest Minnesota Christian Schools. My wife and I live in Edgerton, and we have four children. I have a Bachelor's degree in Theology from Dordt University and received my teaching license through Concordia University - Mequon. I am also currently working toward a Masters Degree in Instructional Coaching through Dordt University. 

 

Teaching is a passion of mine and I feel especially blessed to work in a setting where we can openly teach our students the truths of the Bible and how God is at work in our world. One of the guiding passages that shapes how I approach education is Proverbs 1:7, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge." All that we do is rooted in the truths of who God is and how He is at work in this world. I look forward to getting to know your child throughout their time at SWC. I pray that they will be blessed and be a blessing to our community.
