Hi Everyone!
I am Karen Van Schepen.
I teach 2nd grade at Southwest Christian Schools.
I have been teaching for several years and thoroughly enjoy it!
I grew up in Edgerton and attended Edgerton Christian Elementary and Southwest Christian High.
I graduated from Dordt College in 1980 with my degree in Elementary Education.
My husband is a veterinarian and also an assistant pastor at our church.
We have three boys who are all teachers!

A favorite Bible passage of mine is Psalm 139, especially verses 13-14, where it says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  your works are wonderful, I know that full well."
We are wonderfully made, aren't we?
I believe that each of us is a unique child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made!  God created each of us the way he wanted, and most importantly, He made us to know Jesus!  That's my goal as a teacher is to teach my students to read and write, but most of all, to get to know Jesus!
